Boswellia Serrata in supplements for horses

The resin is naturally secreted to protect the Boswellia tree, then purified for use in humans and animals.

Boswellia Serrata is a botanical medicine that has been used for thousands of years. It has long been recognized for its fast-acting natural properties that promote joint and muscle health and provide increased joint mobility in humans. Boswellia trees are found in India and North Africa, but the particular species of Boswellia serrata grows only in mountainous forests of western and central India.

High-molecular hyaluronic acid is naturally present in a healthy joint both in the synovial fluid and in the joint cartilage. It is an important molecule for normal joint function. The molecular weight and concentration of hyaluronic acid in the joint is critical to its effectiveness. In the case of heavy overload and in the older horse, the molecule is broken down to a greater extent than is newly formed. This contributes to poorer joint quality and mobility.

Boswellia Serrata prevents the breakdown of hyaluronic acid molecules in the joint.
Conquest is specially adapted for horses that train and compete regularly and intensively and in combination with high molecular weight hyaluronic acid (1.4 million Daltons), Boswellia Serrata contributes to the maintenance of the hyaluronic acid content of the joints and the formation of new high molecular weight hyaluronic acid. These two synergistic effects promote joint flexibility and provide optimal mobility of the horse's joints.
