First potential drug for osteoarthritis in horses ? and maybe even humans

For the first time, a drug treatment has been presented that appears to slow the progression of osteoarthritis. In a clinical study from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and the University of Gothenburg, the horses that received the treatment completely lost their lameness and the degradation of the joint stopped. There is also potential for the drug to be developed for humans with osteoarthritis.
