Yvonne Österholm - (FIN)

We are proud to present our profile rider Yvonne Österholm, Finland.

Yvonne has been riding for as long as she can remember. She quickly followed in her older sisters' footsteps and initially rode both dressage and show jumping. She switched to big horses early on and spent all her free time on the horses.

As a Young Rider, in 2001 it was both team bronze at the Nordic Championships and gold in the indoor SM at home in Finland.

Yvonne comes from Finland but moved to Sweden to start as a riding apprentice with Jan Brink. She stayed and worked as a rider for Jan for six years. She has also managed to work for six months as a rider at a dressage stable in Germany. After that, she returned to Sweden and since 2011 runs her own company at a fine facility in Torna Hällestad in Skåne.

At the farm, she accepts horses for education, training and competition. She also accepts students.

Among the merits can be mentioned:

Win in the 3- and 4-year-old championship with the stallion Belaggio 1195, who also became Best in Show as a three-year-old. Quarton won the 6- and 7-year-old Breeders' Trophy and the small final in the Young Horse WC as a 6-year-old. The approved stallion Ironman H 1351 won both the utility test and Falsterbo as a 4-year-old, as a 6-year-old the team won the small final for 6-year-olds. Approved stallion Demand 1344 and mare Hera have both won Falsterbo. Demand has also won the Breeders Trophy as a 5-year-old. Yvonne herself has trained her self-bred William D to the Grand Prix, where they have a third place as their best result. The team has also competed successfully in the year classes.

At the utility test in 2020, she got both 4-year-old Saint Louis and 5-year-old Quercus approved.

Quercus is 5 years old by Quaterback – Don Schufro. He is owned by Yvonne herself. Quercus is a healthy 5-year-old at the start of his career. He gets Chondrogen 100PRO everyday and after training/competition he also gets Conquer 200Pro as extra lubrication.

Yvonne is a lovely positive girl with high demands on herself and her performance. She is as meticulous in her sustainability thinking as in her riding. We are so incredibly happy to have her join Friska Leder's team!
