What is Boswellia Serrata?
Boswellia Serrata is the resin that comes from the Indian Boswellia tree. It has been used as a botanical medicine for thousands of years. Research has shown that the resin is fast-acting and effective against, among other things, joint problems and pain. It is said to have similar properties to devil's claw with the difference that Boswellia Serrata produces faster results.
What is its function?
Boswellia Serrata has a circulation-increasing effect and properties that contribute to quickly reducing inflammatory activity. It thus promotes good joint and muscle health and provides increased joint mobility. There is a proven effect in many areas, including joint problems and osteoarthritis. In combination with high-molecular hyaluronic acid, it contributes to the fact that the hyaluronic acid does not break down, but remains and continues to work in the joint. This provides optimal conditions for the body to be able to produce its own new, high-quality synovial fluid.
Are there any side effects of Boswellia Serrata?
It is unusual to have side effects, especially when dosing according to the recommendation. However, side effects may occur in rare cases. For example. have side effects in the form of allergy or gastrointestinal reactions been noted in humans. If you experience stomach upset or heartburn, we recommend a reduced dose or a break for a few days.
Currently, we have no recorded cases of side effects in horses. Since we know it can occur in humans, one would expect it to occur in rare cases in horses as well. Should you discover that your horse's stomach becomes loose from the preparation, you can stop the treatment for a week. Then try resuming it initially with a lower dose. If the problems return, you should switch to a product that does not contain this substance.
